The Difference between the Sharp R402 JWT and R410 LW

The Sharp R402JWT and the Sharp R410LW are microwave ovens from Japanese electronics manufacturer Sharp Corp. Both are discontinued products at the time of this publication. Sharp designed them for placement on countertops. The R402JWT and the R410LW differ aesthetically, and the former has one additional feature and is a little lighter. However, the two models have the same type of buttons, dimensions, capacity and power.

    • Of cubed rectangular shape and either black or white in color, the Sharp R402JWT and the Sharp R410LW are used to cook, heat or defrost foods and beverages placed on a carousel turntable dish. Both models have six reheat and four defrost options, as well as a five-digit two-color lighted display.

    Convenience Features and Power

    • The Sharp R402JWT and the Sharp R410LW have a Minute Plus feature that allows users to set the oven at high power with a single touch. Also featured is a Popcorn key specifically designated for automatically making microwave popcorn. Other convenience features include a clock and a minute timer. Sharp adds a built-in lighting source it calls Nightlight on the R402JWT for operation in a dark room. Each microwave uses up to 1,100 watts for its dielectric heating.

    Capacity and Interior Measurements

    • The Sharp R402JWT and the Sharp R410LW both have capacities of 1.4 cubic feet. The approximate interior measurements for both are the same: 16.75 inches deep, 9.37 inches high, 15.37 inches wide.

    Exterior Measurements and Weight

    • Both the Sharp R402JWT and the Sharp R410LW have the same approximate exterior measurements: 17.5 inches deep, 12.37 inches high, 21.62 inches wide. The R402JWT weighs 37 lbs.; the R410LW weighs 37.4 lbs.
