How to Install the Frame for the GE Profile Microwave

When you first set up your General Electric Profile microwave, you must fully install the appliance into your wall cabinet. You must then add the top bracket and trim frame to the front of the microwave. The trim frame is simply a front cover that is connected with spring clips and screws to the microwave door.

Drill
Screwdriver
9 bronze round-head screws
2 round-head screws
2 flat-head screws

Instructions

  Place the top bracket onto the top front of the microwave, then drill holes through the top bracket.

  Insert nine bronze round-head screws into the top bracket using a screwdriver.

  Place the trim frame over the front of the microwave. Snap on the two spring clips of the trim frame into the slots of the top bracket.

  Open the microwave door by pressing the lower button on the front of the microwave.

  Insert two round-head screws into the inside top of the door frame using a screwdriver.

  Insert two flat-head screws into the inside bottom of the frame. The frame will then be fully attached to the microwave door.
