How to Recycle a Mitsubishi TV

Having a lot of junk at home can be a nuisance at times if you don't have a lot of space. So if you want to be good to yourself and the environment, don't just throw the unwanted electronics in the trash. Instead, take it back to an electronics store that will recycle it for you free of charge. Best Buy, for example, takes nearly all electronic items, including televisions. Recycling a TV is easy, and often it will help less well-off families in poorer areas where a lot of functioning electronic items tend to be shipped.

    • 3

Go on DigitalTips.org if there is not a Best Buy in your area, or if they do not accept your Mitsubishi TV. DigitalTips.org is a directory of recycling centers by state.

    • 4

Enter the name of the product you want to recycle in the right hand side search box, in your case "Mitsubishi TV". Enter your zip code underneath. Click "Go".

    • 5

Choose the nearest recycling center from the list. Check whether they accept your Mitsubishi television. If not, look for another location. Many cities have their own locally run non-commercial recycling centers where you can drop off your unwanted gear. Check on your local city's website whether they have a recycling facility.

Go on the Environmental Protection Agency's website at www.epa.gov. Type "recycle TV" into the search box on the upper right side of the screen. Search in the result page for "Where Can I Donate or Recycle My Old Computer and Other Electronic Products?". It should be the fourth result. Click on it and read the steps on how to recycle or donate your TV in your area.
