This garbage disposal plugs into a 120 volt, 60 Hz alternating current plug. It is compatible with either a 15 or 20 amp fuse. Whirlpool recommends that you place the garbage disposal on a separate circuit, especially a circuit breaker with a time-day fuse. Whirlpool also recommends that you check with your local codes to ensure that your electrical connections are compatible with your local codes.
Whirlpool recommends that you do not leave food sitting in your garbage disposal, or you may clog your drain. You must grind food every time. If you don't grind the food every time, you may also experience odors from decomposing. Only use cold water when running your garbage disposal. Do not use solvents or chemicals to clean your disposal. Do not add lubrication to your GC2000 dishwasher. It has a lubricant on it that lasts a lifetime.
You receive a one-year full warranty on this model, and this warranty covers labor and materials. Whirlpool will not pay for service calls for installation and troubleshooting. It will also not pay for damage caused by misuse of the dishwasher or failing to follow local codes. Whirlpool also doesn't pay for replacement parts, repairs or delivery service fees.
