How to Fix a Leaky Door in an LG LDF7810 24-inch Dishwasher

The LG LDF7810 is a 24-inch under-the-counter dishwasher designed for permanent installation in your kitchen. The dishwasher is available in black, white and stainless steel and features several wash cycles including "Normal," "Power Scrub," "Quick Wash" and "Delicate." The dishwasher door jamb has a flexible rubber gasket that forms a water-tight seal when the dishwasher door is securely closed. The seal ensures that no water escapes from the wash cavity during the wash cycle. After regular usage, the gasket will begin to deteriorate and water will leak from the door. To stop the leak, you must replace the gasket.

Grasp one end of the old gasket and pull it away from the dishwasher. Continue pulling until the gasket is completely removed from the dishwasher.

    • 3

    • 4

Locate the center of the gasket, indicated on the gasket with a red dot, and align it with the center of the door latch. Push the gasket into the gasket channel.

    • 5

Work the entire gasket into the gasket channel using your fingers, starting from the top-center portion and moving out and down.

    • 6

Close the dishwasher door and allow it to remain closed for several hours.
