Check your sink for an unused sink accessory hole. Pry the cover off with the pliers if there is one available. If not, drill a 1-3/8 inch diameter hole in the countertop beside the sink.
Place the rubber gasket from the air switch kit on top of the hole. Mount the air switch button inside the hole.
Tighten the plastic nut on the air switch button under the counter, using pliers. Tighten the nut until you have a water-tight seal between the button and the sink or the countertop.
Locate the power outlet on the cabinet wall that the garbage disposal is hooked up to. Using the electric screwdriver and screws from the kit, mount the power module for the switch on the wall. Measure to be sure it is within three feet of the power outlet.
Insert one end of the air tube from the kit into the hole on the underside of the button. Insert the other end into the hole on the top of the power module.
Plug the power module into the power outlet. Plug the garbage disposal’s power cord into the power module
Press down on the air switch button to turn on the garbage disposal. Let it run for a few seconds, then press the button again to turn it off.
