How to Unclog a Disposal and Sink without taking it apart

When your disposal is clogged and will not drain follow these simple directions and your sink will drain in no time.

      If your garbage disposal is spinning and spinning and the water is not going down, it could be plugged with food and you need to clear it out. If you have already checked and there is nothing stuck down it in you can try this simple fix to get the water moving again.

      Add some hot water to your sink and if you have a double sink plug the other sink. Add a cup or so of vinegar to the water and then a cup of baking soda. There will be an instant reaction and it will fizz up so make sure your water is not all the way to the top.

      Next wait about 5 minutes and then take your plunger to your sink and work out the clog. I got my sink clogged with celery (I know, not a good thing to put in the first place) and this worked like a charm. I have had to do this two times now and it has never failed to unplug the clog.
