Remove the screws that secure the kickplate to the bottom of the dishwasher if you are having problems with water on the floor under the dishwasher. Use a Phillips screwdriver to turn the screws counterclockwise. Locate the water inlet valve where the hot water supply hose is connected. Tighten the fitting at the end of the hose using an adjustable wrench if the water is coming from the connection. If the water is leaking further under the dishwasher, shine a flashlight under it to ascertain if the supply hose became damaged during installation and needs to be replaced.

Loosen the screw on the clamp that secures the drain hose to the sink drain if you are experiencing water under the sink. Reseat the drain hose so it is snug and tighten the clamp by turning the screw clockwise with a Phillips screwdriver. If water is dripping from the hot water shutoff valve where the other end of the dishwasher's supply hose is attached, tighten the fitting using an adjustable wrench.

Inspect the dishwasher's electrical cord to ensure it is plugged into the outlet under the sink if the control panel doesn't work. If the plug is completely inserted into the outlet, locate the circuit breaker in the home's electrical panel that supplies the dishwasher with electrical current. Ensure that the breaker is not tripped. Push the breaker completely to the "Off" position and then completely on to ensure it is functioning properly.
