Turn off the electrical power to your dishwasher from your kitchen circuit breaker.
Open the dishwasher door, and remove the Torx screws from the inside panel using a Torx driver.
Close the dishwasher door without latching it all the way, then lift up on the outer panel. Remove the entire outer panel from the dishwasher door.
Locate the small, white clean sensor part at the top of the control panel, and check the wire connection leading to the sensor. Make sure the part is fully connected to the control panel terminal and not loose.
Disconnect the wire connection, and remove the mounting screw holding the sensor in place by using a Phillips screwdriver.
Lift out the clean sensor and inspect the part for any damage, such as cracks or broken pieces. Replace the part if there is any damage to it.
Insert the new sensor part into the same position, and reinsert the mounting screw. Reconnect the wire connector to the sensor.
Slide the outer panel back onto the dishwasher door, then open the door. Reinsert the Torx screws into the inside of the door.
Close the dishwasher door, then turn back on the electrical power from the kitchen circuit breaker.
