How to Install the Clips & Tines on a Frigidaire Gallery Dishwasher

The tines attached to the lower racks of your Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher help support bowls, plates and other items during the course of a cycle. The tines can be folded down or removed completely to make it easier to accommodate different sized objects. Without the tines, items that need to be supported could tip over and remain dirty. Replacing the tines and the clips that hold them in position is not complicated.

Open the dishwasher and extend the bottom rack, depending on where you want to install the clips or tines. Empty the rack, if necessary, and lift the rack out of the dishwasher. Remove existing clips if they need to be replaced by pulling them out of place and lifting them out of the dishwasher.

Locate the places on the rack where the adjustable tine clips attach. Snap the clips onto the metal frame of the rack, making sure the bulk of the part is inside the drawer. It's easy to install the clips upside down by mistake.

Snap the metal tines into the clips. There is usually a plastic boot that goes on the end of the adjustable tines to make the connection tight. Make sure it is in position if the connection feels loose. Test the tines by folding them up and down.
