Leg Imbalance

• The dishwasher's legs are configured for a steady surface right out of the packaging, but requires an adjustment if your floor's surface is uneven. Detergent Issues

• The current detergent used in your dishwasher also may be the cause of the dishwasher leaking from the door. Old detergent clogs the dishwasher's detergent compartment, whereas adding too much detergent leads to oversudsing and leaking during the wash cycle. Using less of your current detergent or switching to a new detergent can resolve the leaking problem.

Rinsing Solution

• The dishwasher's rinsing solution, commonly known as rinse aid, is used to prevent water and residue stains on the dishes during the rinsing cycle of your dishwasher. The rinse aid must be carefully measured and poured into the rinse aid compartment to prevent overflowing of the solution while it is dispensed, as too much solution in the rinse aid compartment results in excessive foam production that spills out of the dishwasher.

Drain Clogs

• A drain clog occurs when residue blocks the drain hose connected to the dishwasher, which prevents the appliance from properly draining water from the cleaning load. Water that is unable to drain from the dishwasher sits at the bottom of the washer's tub and leaks from the dishwasher's sides as the cleaning cycle continues. Manually cleaning out the drain hose after every few cycles ensures the drain hose is clear of obstructions and prevents water damage caused by persistent leaking.
