How to Reinstall the Upper Feed Tube on Bosch Dishwashers

Bosch dishwashers have bottom and top spray arms that dispense water to the dishes on both racks during a cleaning cycle. These arms each have a feed tube that is connected to the pump motor within the bottom of the appliance. If the upper spray tube is leaking, remove the old tubing and install a new upper feed tube. Bosch sells some parts for its appliances online.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the electrical power to your Bosch dishwasher from your kitchen circuit breaker.

    • 2

Open the dishwasher door and remove the bottom and top racks by sliding them both all the way out of the appliance.

    • 3

Locate the spray arm in the top center of the dishwasher and the upper feed tube that is connected to it.

    • 4

Remove the two screws from the mounting plate that holds the upper feed tube to the top of the dishwasher using a Phillips screwdriver.

    • 5

Turn the rear cap of the top spray arm clockwise with a one-quarter turn. The feed tube will dislodge.

    • 6

Pull the tube completely out of the dishwasher. Place the new feed tube into the same position as the old tubing.

    • 7

Turn the rear cap of the top spray arm counter-clockwise to lock the tubing into place.

    • 8

Reinsert the two screws into the mounting plate and tighten them, then slide the top and bottom racks back into the dishwasher.

    • 9

Close the dishwasher door and turn on the electrical power.
