Timing a Frigidaire Dishwasher

Frigidaire offers dishwashers with multiple cleaning options, as well as timing features for programming dishwasher wash cycles around busy schedules. This "Delay Start" feature is also a bonus if you are looking to run your dishwasher during off-peak times when electricity costs are low. After loading the dishwasher, you can time your Frigidaire dishwasher to start anywhere from one hour to 24 hours in advance.

      Fill the detergent dispenser according to water hardness and wash cycle. Close the dishwasher firmly and latch the door to secure.

      Select the “Delay Start” option if using a Frigidaire dishwashing model with the one- to 24-hour delay feature. Continue pressing the “Delay Start” pad until you reach the desired delay time. For example, press “Delay Start” until five appears in the “Status” window if you want the dishwasher to start five hours from the program setting. Wait until the indicator light is on before stepping away from the dishwasher.

      Press the “Start/Cancel” pad to cancel the timer or select a different delay time. Make sure you cancel the timer before the delay period is over.
