How to Reprogram the Board on a GE Profile Dishwasher

GE Profile dishwashers place the user control board in one of two places. The control board is either on the front of the dishwasher or on the top edge of the dishwasher door. Sometimes it is necessary to reprogram the board on a GE Profile dishwasher. When the power is interrupted, the dishwasher defaults to factory wash settings. There are also times when you want to change the wash cycle or reset the time delay for a wash. Reprogramming the board on a GE Profile dishwasher requires stopping the current cycle and setting the appropriate cycle or time.

Instructions

    • 1

Press and release the “Start/Reset” button one time to cancel a wash cycle, if you have a front mount control board. The indicator light will flash until the water in the dishwasher drains completely. Once the light stops flashing, reprogram the wash cycle as normal.

Open the GE Profile dishwasher door slightly to stop a wash cycle, if you have the control board on the top edge of the dishwasher door. Press and release the “Stop/Reset” button and close the door. Once the water drains from the dishwasher completely, open the dishwasher door and reprogram to the desired wash settings.

Press and release the “Delayed Start” several times until the start display timer is blank, if you want to reprogram the delay time. Once the screen is blank, reprogram the time by pressing and holding the “Delayed Start” button until the desired time is on the display. Release the “Delayed Start” and press the “Start/Reset” button once.
