How to Tighten a Dishwasher's Elbow

Dishwashers are a convenience that we often take for granted. Simply load the dishwasher with dishes and soap, start the cycle and in an hour or so you'll have clean dishes. This convenience is why if your dishwasher malfunctions, you may be quick to call for a professional repair. In most instances, a repair technician may be appropriate, however running through a few troubleshooting steps could help you avoid a pricey service call. A dishwasher leaking from the left side, for instance, may have a loose brass elbow, which is the component that connects the water supply line to the inlet valve. The remedy to a loose elbow is straightforward and does not require the assistance of a repair technician.
