How to Eliminate Buildup in a Dishwasher

Over a period of time, hard water used in a dishwasher leaves a buildup of minerals, such as calcium and lime, inside the appliance. In addition to leaving film on dishes, dishwashing detergent also sometimes contributes to the buildup inside the dishwasher, as do greases left behind on the dishes being washed. It's easy to get rid of this buildup inside of your dishwasher so that it can function efficiently and last longer.
