Close the door tightly before running the washer. Press down on the overfill protection float to determine if it is moving properly or the washer might not fill with water. Make sure you are using the correct amount of detergent. White residue on your washer door or detergent remaining in the washer after it has run might indicate too much detergent being used.
Use a rinse aid. Rinse aids help the dishes dry. Do not overfill your washer. Water sprayers can become blocked and the spray won't reach all of your dishes. Hard water can leave film on dishes. Check your home water pressure. It needs to be 20 to 120 psi for proper filling. Water temperature should be 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Load dishes properly. Put plates, bowl and glasses in the washer so they are stable and won't bump together during the wash cycle. Put silverware in with the sharp edges down. Don't overlap dishes or silverware. If dishes are stuck together the spray can't reach them.
Check the blades on the top and bottom of the washer for blockage. The blades need to spin freely. Tall items on the top rack can block the blades. Silverware falling through the bottom rack can block the bottom blades from spinning.
