How Do You Remove the Sprayer Arm on a GE Triton?

Cleaning the fine filter screen or making repairs to the pump assembly on a GE Triton requires removing the sprayer arm from the unit. The sprayer arm connects to a center hub over the top of the pump assembly. Removing the sprayer arm on a GE Triton depends on which model class you own. Some Triton models have a center hub bolt, while the Triton XL simply has an arm that screws onto the hub.

Shut off the circuit breaker to the GE Triton dishwasher. Open the dishwasher door and slide the bottom dish rack out of the dishwasher.

Check for a circular seam on the top of the dishwasher arm. Some GE Triton models have a center cap hiding a mounting bolt. Pry the cap off the arm with a utility knife, if your model has the center cap.

Hold the arm with one hand, and remove the bolt in the center of the arm with a socket wrench in your free hand. Lift the sprayer arm out of the Triton dishwasher.

Grab the sprayer arm on both ends, if your model does not have the center cap. Lift the arm up gently until you feel it stop. Rotate the arm counterclockwise until it releases from the dishwasher.
