How to Replace the Sprayer Arm in a Frigidaire Dishwasher

The sprayer arm in your Frigidaire dishwasher is used to distribute water throughout the dishwasher, onto your dishes. During the operation of the dishwasher, water is pumped through the spray arms at a high rate of pressure. The pressure causes the spray arm to rotate as the water passes through it. If the spray arm is cracked or warped, the spray arm will not effectively distribute the water, possibly resulting in your dishes remaining dirty at the conclusion of the wash cycle. To restore functionality to your dishwasher, replace the damaged spray arm.

     Open the dishwasher door and then remove the lower dish rack.

     Lift the tabs on the underside of the spray arm, and then pull the spray arm up and off of the spray arm support. Discard the old spray arm.

     Align the receptacle on the bottom of the spray arm with the spray arm support, and then snap the spray arm onto the spray arm support.

     Replace the lower dish rack and then close the dishwasher door.
