     Pour a cup of powder detergent into a container. Pour enough water into the powder to make a paste the consistency of cake batter.

     Remove the dish racks from your dishwasher.

     Use a sponge to wipe down the inside of your dishwasher with the paste. Wipe out any food debris or dirt.

     Replace the dish racks into the dishwasher. Run a cycle on your dishwasher with no dishes in the dishwasher.
