Instructions

    • 1

Lay paper towel on the floor underneath the hinges of the dishwasher. The paper towel will protect the floor by catching dripped grease.

    • 2

Open the KitchenAid dishwasher door and locate the hinges on the bottom where the door connects to the main dishwasher body.

    • 3

Spray lithium grease in and around the hinges. Lithium grease is designed to work in conditions where water and heat are present, which makes it the optimum lubricant for dishwasher door hinges.

    • 4

Move the door up and down several times to work the grease into the hinges. Apply more grease if you still hear a slight creak. Maintain the hinges by spraying them with lithium grease every other month or more often if they make noise.
