How to Remove an Impeller From a Kenmore Dishwasher

When you are running a cleaning cycle for your Kenmore dishwasher, you may experience a problem where water is not properly dispensed within the unit. The problem is likely due to a faulty or broken spray arm or impeller. The spray arm is the plastic spinning piece in the center of the unit, and the impeller is the round plastic fan blade attached to the water pump that pushes the water from the pump into the spray arm. You can remove and check both parts at any time to determine whether a replacement part is needed.
