How to Troubleshoot the KitchenAid Superba's Power Failure

The KitchenAid Superba dishwasher can monitor dish moisture for better drying, sanitize dishes, and grind up food particles that fall into the dishwasher tub. However, if the one thing the Superba dishwasher doesn't seem able to do is actually turn on, then there may be issues with the household power or dishwasher operation that must be examined before the dishwasher will return to normal.

Instructions

    • 1

Look behind the Superba dishwasher, if possible, for the power cord and reconnect the cord to a power outlet. If the power cord isn't accessible or the dishwasher has been built into the household system, reset or replace the circuit breaker or fuse.

    • 2

Open the dishwasher door and examine the back of the dishwasher for items that might be blocking the operating system in the rear. Move large dishes as needed, and keep the front racks clear so that the door can close completely.

    • 3

Shut the dishwasher door until a click is heard. Press “Start/Resume” if the light is blinking but the dishwasher hasn't started as expected.

    • 4

Touch "Start/Resume" if the wash cycle was in progress when a power failure occurred and the control panel lights are blinking when power is restored. Press "Cancel" if the cycle doesn't resume, make a new cycle selection and restart the wash cycle.
