How to Remove Sump Entrance Screen on GE Dishwasher

In order to access the sump pump assembly in your GE dishwasher, you must remove the sump entrance screen from the appliance. The sump pump helps to remove excess water from the unit, and the sump entrance screen stops food particles and other small items from entering the sump pump assembly. Once the sump entrance screen is removed, you can also inspect it to determine if there is damage and if it needs to be replaced.
