Kenmore dishwashers have a spray arm located on the bottom of the appliance, below the lower dish rack. The spray arm rotates as water passes through it, spraying water and soap onto the dishes on the bottom rack. After regular use, the nozzles on the spray arm may become clogged due to hard water deposits or soap build-up. When the nozzles are clogged, water will not properly pass through the nozzles on the spray arm. To restore the dishwasher's cleaning power, you must remove the spray arm and clean the nozzles.
