How to Troubleshoot a Mico Seashore 7711

A kitchen or bathroom faucet is both aesthetically and practically important to a home. The Seashore 7711 faucet by Mico has a modern design, but if it is malfunctioning, its sleek style is of little use. Instead of spending money on a plumber or home repairman, you can troubleshoot the faucet yourself.

Instructions

    • 1

Look to see if the faucet is leaking. Observe if the leak comes from the spay head or underneath the handle, which will help you diagnose and then rectify the problem.

    • 2

Replace the cam packing and ball assembly, which fits underneath the shaft of the handle, if a leak is coming from beneath the handle.

    • 3

Unscrew the faucet and separate it from the base unit attached to the sink. Locate the O-ring (so named for its shape); remove and replace it to stop leaks coming from this part of the Mico Seashore.

    • 4

Clean the spigot with a rag soaked in a mixture of alcohol and water to clear away any buildup that is impeding the flow of water.

    • 5

Put a small amount of household lubricant (such as WD-40) around the "moving parts" of the fountain, such as the handle, in the event its mobility is restricted.
