How to Fill a Frigidaire Dishwasher With a Rinsing Agent

Once you have fully loaded your Frigidaire dishwasher with dirty dishes, you must then add the liquid detergent to the detergent dispenser before you can run a new cleaning cycle. Also, you can add rinsing aid, which is a liquid that helps improve drying and reduces water spots or filming. It’s important to add the rinsing aid after you have added the appropriate amount of detergent.

      Open the door on your Frigidaire dishwasher and locate the detergent dispenser on the inside of the door.

      Lift up the detergent dispenser cover using your hand. Add 1½ tsp. of liquid dishwashing detergent to the large wash cup if your home uses soft water and you want to run a light wash.

      Add 1½ tsp. of liquid dishwashing detergent to the large wash cup and small wash cup in the dispenser if you have soft water and want to run to normal wash.

      Add 4 tsp. of detergent to the large was cup if you have medium hard water in your home and you want to run a light wash. Add 4 tsp. to both small and large cups to run a normal wash using medium hard water.

      Turn and lift the rinse aid dispenser cap next to the detergent cup. Turn the “Fill Level” dial to the fill number you desire. For example, if have a high need to stop drying and spotting, you’ll want to select a high number on the dial.

      Pour in the rinse aid into the opening until it reaches the fill level as marked in the opening. Place the dispenser cap back on and turn it clockwise to lock it into place.

      Close the dispenser compartment door so that it locks into place and then close the dishwasher door. Select the wash settings from the front control panel and then press the “Start” button to run your cycle.
