How to Drain the Water From a GE Profile PDW7300

A small pool of water is held in the bottom of your General Electric Profile PDW7300 dishwasher during each wash. The water is drained and replenished several times as the cycle progresses to ensure dirty water already used to clean dishes is not reused. You will be able to hear the dishwasher filling roughly 60 seconds after the "Start" button has been pressed; you might want to drain the appliance and abandon the cycle in the event of a fault or if you realize you have forgotten to load certain items.

Instructions

    • 1

Load, close and start the dishwasher as normal. You will hear the inlet pumping filling the appliance after roughly a minute.

    • 2

Press "Start/Reset" at any time during the cycle; the light above the button begins to flash indicating that the wash has been suspended.

    • 3

Wait a few minutes; the light above the "Start" button stops flashing when the water has been completely drained. Open the door and remove the dishes, if necessary.
