How to Delime a Kenmore Dishwasher

Kenmore produces many home appliances, which include dishwashers. Like many dishwashers, Kenmore dishwashers are susceptible to white crusty material found inside the washing compartment, which is known as limescale. Limescale is an accumulation of dried, dissolved minerals sometimes found in hard water. • 1 cup lemon juice

     Open the dishwasher and remove any dishes, pots, pans and utensils.

     Pour 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of lemon juice into the bottom area of the dishwasher. Do not pour the liquids in the detergent compartment.

     Close the dishwasher and run a short wash cycle.

     Open the dishwasher and check for vinegar and lemon juice residue. If residue is found, run another short wash cycle with just hot water until all the reside is completely removed.
