Kenmore produces many home appliances, which include dishwashers. Like many dishwashers, Kenmore dishwashers are susceptible to white crusty material found inside the washing compartment, which is known as limescale. Limescale is an accumulation of dried, dissolved minerals sometimes found in hard water. According to the water-guide.org, limescale buildup can stain the inside of the dishwasher, damage components and decrease the dishwasher's energy efficiency. Regular deliming techniques can prevent this unsightly buildup.
