How to Change the Kitchenaid Dishwasher Door Color

KitchenAid dishwashers are available in many different models, with a variety of finishes. Often, several models of a dishwasher are available with different finishes, such as black, white or stainless steel. KitchenAid dishwashers that are black and stainless steel in color have a black control panel, which means that to change the door color, you must only replace the outer door panel.

Instructions

      Locate the dishwasher breaker in your home's main electric panel. Turn off the dishwasher breaker to cut the dishwasher's power supply.

      Open the dishwasher door, and then remove the screws surrounding the outer portion of the inner door panel, which secure the outer door panel to the door.

      Close the dishwasher door, and then pull it away from the dishwasher.

      Align the new outer door panel with the dishwasher door.

      Open the dishwasher door, and then install the screws that were removed from the inner door panel to secure the outer door panel into position.

      Close the dishwasher door.

      Turn on the dishwasher breaker to restore power to the dishwasher.
