Turn off the electrical power to your dishwasher from your kitchen circuit breaker.
Open the dishwasher door all the way, then remove the screws from the top control panel using a screwdriver.
Move your door upwards and then lift off the control panel from the dishwasher door.
Lift up the moisture shield and then press on the wire harness tab to disconnect it from the control panel.
Disconnect the red rinse aid sensor wire and then remove the entire control panel from the top of the dishwasher.
Remove the screws holding the circuit board in place, then remove the circuit board from the control panel.
Slide out the door latch from the control board. Insert the link and spring into the new door latch handle part.
Place the new door latch into the same position in the control panel. Place the circuit board back in and reinsert the mounting screws.
Place the control panel back onto the dishwasher door and reconnect the rinse aid sensor wire.
Reconnect the wire harness and move the moisture shield back down into place.
Reinsert the screws into the control panel, then shut the door so that it latches securely. Turn the power supply back on from the circuit breaker.
