# How to Get the Soap Door Off a Bosch SHX43C Dishwasher
If you own a Bosch SHX43C model dishwasher, you can insert detergent tablets into the detergent dispenser located on the inside of the dishwasher door. If the soap door of the detergent dispenser won't fully close or if it stays locked during a cleaning cycle, you can replace it. The soap door is simple to take off the detergent dispenser, and you can order a new part from an online retailer.

Turn off the electrical power to your Bosch SHX43C dishwasher from the kitchen circuit breaker.

Open the dishwasher door, then locate the soap door on the center of the inner dishwasher door.

Slide the door open to test that the door is opening and closing properly.

Insert a flat-head screwdriver under the soap door, then push down on the screwdriver to pry off the soap door.

Inspect the soap door for damage, such as dents or broken pieces, then replace the door with a new part if necessary.
