Turn off the electrical power to your Sears dishwasher from your kitchen circuit breaker.
Open the dishwasher door and locate the door hinges on the bottom sides of the door.
Unhook the door springs from each hinge and then set them aside. Remove the adjustment screws from the door hinges using a socket wrench.
Lift up the dishwasher door and fully remove it from the door from the dishwasher.
Lift up and remove each door hinge. Inspect the door hinges for damages, such as dents or broken pieces, to determine if the part needs to be replaced.
Put the new door hinge parts onto the door and reinsert the adjustment screws. Don't tighten the screws all the way.
Set the dishwasher door back on the hinges and then tighten the adjustment screws.
Hook the door springs back on the hinges, then close the dishwasher door. Turn the electrical power back on from the circuit breaker.
