Turn off electrical power to your dishwasher from your kitchen circuit breaker, and then turn off the water-supply valve from below your kitchen sink.
Open the dishwasher door and pull the bottom rack all the way out the dishwasher.
Turn the spray arm counter-clockwise, and then lift it up, removing it from the dishwasher’ bottom center.
Remove the bottom cover’s screws, and then remove the cover. Locate the drain solenoid on the pump motor, which has a white clip attached to it.
Remove the screws from the clip on the solenoid and remove the clip. Remove the screws connecting the drain solenoid to the motor.
Remove the drain solenoid. Insert a flathead screwdriver beneath the push nut, and then push down on the screwdriver to pry it off.
Inspect the push nut to see if it is broken and replace the part if necessary.
