Recommended Amounts

• If your dishwasher uses hard water, Bosch recommends using 45 ml of detergent when set to “Power Scrub Plus” and “Scrub Wash” cycles. The company recommends the same amount for medium water dishwashers set to “Power Scrub Plus.” Use 25 ml for medium water washers set to “Regular Wash” and soft water washers set to “Scrub Wash.” Medium water washers set to “Quick Wash” and soft water washers set to “Delicate/Economy” or “Quick Wash” call for 15 ml of detergent. Use between 15 and 25 ml for hard water washers on “Quick Wash,” medium water washers on “Delicate/Economy” and soft water washers on “Regular Wash.” Hard water washers set to “Regular Wash” and medium water washers set to “Scrub Wash” require between 25 and 45 ml of detergent.

Avoid Detergent Complications

• Bosch warns that too much detergent causes dishwasher complications. For instance, an excess of detergent coupled with soft water creates undesirable etching on glassware. The company discourages the use of detergents that contain drying agent additives. Do not put anything other than detergent in the detergent dispenser and don't use detergent at all when your Bosch washer is set to Rinse and Hold. Never leave detergent in a place easily accessible to children.
