# How to Replace the Door Gasket on a Frigidaire Dishwasher
Frigidaire dishwashers have a door gasket seal that prevents water from leaking out of the dishwasher during a wash cycle. Over time, the gasket around the door may crack, or show signs of wear, which may cause the dishwasher to leak water from around the door’s frame. The door gasket is replaceable without the use of any tools, and it will only take a minute or two to replace.

Open the Frigidaire dishwasher door, grasp one end of the door gasket and pull it away from the dishwasher’s frame.

Submerge the new gasket in hot water for a few minutes until it feels softer and more flexible.

Locate the dot on the center of the gasket and line it up with the door latch on the dishwasher’s frame.

Push the gasket into the channel, and continue this along the entire frame of the dishwasher.

Shut the dishwasher’s door and lock it. Leave the door locked for a few hours to allow the gasket time to form a secure seal.
