How to Change the Control Board on a Bosch Dishwasher

To start a new cleaning cycle using a Bosch dishwasher, use the control touchpad located at the top of the dishwasher door. If none of the touchpad buttons work, the control board part located inside the dishwasher door may need replacing. The control board is easily removed once the door’s front panel is off. Purchase control board parts through Bosch's customer service or an online retailer.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the electrical power to your Bosch dishwasher from your kitchen circuit breaker.

    • 2

Open the dishwasher door and remove the screws from the door’s top inside panel.

    • 3

Close the dishwasher door without latching it all the way, and then lift up the door’s entire front panel exposing the inside parts.

    • 4

Disconnect the wire connectors and ribbon cable from the control board at the top of the door using needle-nose pliers.

    • 5

Press down on the tabs surround the control board using a flathead screwdriver. That loosens it from the door.

    • 6

Lift up and remove the old control board. Insert the new control board into the same position so that it locks into place.

    • 7

Reconnect the wire connector and ribbon cable to the control board. Place the front panel back onto the door.

    • 8

Open the dishwasher door and reinsert the screws into the top inside of the door. Close the door again, and then turn the power back on from the circuit board.
