# How to Remove a GE Profile Dishwasher Door
During certain repair procedures, you may need to remove your GE Profile dishwasher’s door. The removal of the door will allow you to reach different areas of the dishwasher’s interior. The removal of the door only takes a few minutes and it will not damage the dishwasher.

- Phillips screwdriver

Turn off the power to your GE Profile dishwasher by flipping the dishwasher's breaker switch to the "Off" position.

Open your GE Profile dishwasher’s door and push it down until it lies flat.

Locate and unscrew the two screws on the interior bottom portion of the door using a Phillips screwdriver. There is one screw on each side of the door. The screws are along the back portion of the door.

Lift the door up and close it.

Grasp the top of the door, with both hands, and pull the door down and away from the GE dishwasher.
