Reinstalling the Top Spinner on a Frigidaire Dishwasher

Frigidaire dishwasher models come with a bottom- and top-spinner part, which is also called the spray arm. The part is sometimes referred to as the spinner because it spins and dispenses water during a washing cycle. The spinner is installed manually before the dishwasher is used for the first time. Remove the top spinner part if damaged. If you're inserting a new spinner part or simply reinstalling the old one, know how to properly take out the top spinner reinstalling it.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the electrical power to your Frigidaire dishwasher from your kitchen circuit breaker.

    • 2

Turn off the dishwasher’s water supply by turning the water supply valve below your sink to the "Off" position.

    • 3

Open your dishwasher door, and then remove the top and bottom racks by pulling them all the way out of the dishwasher.

    • 4

Locate the top spinner part hanging from inside the dishwasher’s top center.

    • 5

Remove the bolt on the top spinners’ center with an adjustable wrench. Turning the entire spinner counterclockwise dislodges it from the unit.

    • 6

Lift out the top spinner and remove it from the dishwasher. Inspect the top spinner for any damage. Replace the part with a new one if necessary.

    • 7

Turn the new top spinner part clockwise into the same position at the top of the dishwasher.

    • 8

Reinsert the bolt into the spinner’s middle, and then slide the top and bottom racks back into the dishwasher.

    • 9

Close the dishwasher door. Turn the water supply valve back into the "On" position and turn the electric power back on from the circuit breaker.
