How to Fix a Drain Pump on a GE Profile Dishwasher

When you run a load of dishes in the GE Profile dishwasher and find that there is water in the appliance when the cycle is done, you have a drain pump problem. The process for replacing the pump is similar regardless of the brand or model. The procedure is not difficult, but in order to replace the pump, you have to remove the dishwasher from under the counter. The average do-it-yourselfer can complete the repair in less than an hour, so it is not as difficult as it may sound.
