How To Disconnect the Timer From a Maytag Washer

When starting a load of clothes in a Maytag washer, one of the most important components is the timer located on the top control panel of the unit. If the load continues after the timer buzzes or if the cycle finishes before the timer stops, a faulty timer may be the culprit. The timer can be removed from the control panel at any time to inspect it. If the timer needs to be replaced, a new part can be ordered from the manufacturer or an online or brick-and-mortar retailer.
