How to Fix a Frigidaire Ultra Quiet Dishwasher Leak

The Frigidaire Ultra Quiet dishwasher provides high-powered dish-cleaning without any intrusive noise during its cleaning cycle, but requires fresh detergent and rinse aid for every load to prevent water leakage. The dishwasher leaks when old detergent or too much detergent is used during a load, as oversudsing occurs and spills out from the appliance's door seal. Also, an unbalanced dishwasher is prone to leaking. Persistent leaks, however, require professional service to troubleshoot the issue, as your dishwasher may have a faulty drain hose that requires professional replacement.

Instructions

    • 1

Press "Start/Cancel" to stop the current cycle and wait one minute for the cycle's water to drain out.

    • 2

Grab the dishwasher on both sides of the appliance, and pull it out of the counter space to access its back legs.

    • 3

Grip the back legs of the dishwasher with the pliers, and turn it counterclockwise to adjust the legs. Set the leveling tool on the front of the dishwasher to measure its balance. The leveling tool's bubble will sit in the middle of the tool's tubing if the dishwasher is balanced.

    • 4

Push the dishwasher back into place and pull the dishwasher's door down to open it. Press the dishwasher's detergent cover latch and slide off the cover.

    • 5

Wipe excess detergent from the compartment and insert a fresh detergent tab into the dishwasher's main wash cup. Slide the detergent cover over the main wash cup until the cover latch clicks it into place.

    • 6

Turn the fill level knob on the Rinse Aid dispenser to a lower setting. A lower setting reduces the amount of rinse aid used during the rinse cycle.

    • 7

Close the dishwasher's door and press "Normal Wash" or "Heavy Wash." Tap "Start/Cancel" to begin a new cycle and inspect the appliance for leaks.
