How to Fix a Stuck Button on a Bosch Dishwasher

A Bosch dishwasher normally responds to commands, or buttons, touched on its control panel. If the dishwasher has a cycle is in progress, however, it or a command button can seem stuck because cycle changes are disabled until the appliance is paused. The temporary disabling of some of the dishwasher's buttons is intended to prevent accidental changes during the cleaning cycle, and it is correctable through a manual reset. Once reset, you can configure the dishwasher's cycle to a new setting and restart the cleaning cycle.

  Touch "Start" on the front of the dishwasher's control panel until its screen displays "0:01," which should take about three seconds.

  Wait for the dishwasher's water to drain completely. A complete drain takes one minute or less time, depending on the size of the dishwasher's load.

  Pull the door's handle to open the dishwasher door. Press "On/Off" to cancel the current cycle, and open the dishwasher's detergent cover. Pour 1 tablespoon of detergent in the detergent compartment, and slide the detergent cover over the compartment to lock it in place.

  Shut the dishwasher's door, and push "Normal" on the control panel for a normal cleaning cycle. Push "Start" to launch the cleaning cycle.
