Select the border area of your wall in a room of your choice. For example, calla lilies add a bright and cheerful touch to a bathroom or kitchen. Tape the stencil to the border at a spot where you want the flower pattern to begin.
Dip the tip of a sponge wedge into some white acrylic paint. Dab it firmly into the blossom area of the stencil. Let it dry for 10 minutes.
Dip the tip of the fine paintbrush into deep green acrylic paint. Fill in the stems and leaves of the stencil.
Dip the paintbrush, after cleaning it, into yellow paint and add details to the center opening of the white blossom. Create three thin upward wisps for texture.
Repeat the painting to create the border pattern you desire.
Select an upright, slim vase about 12 inches tall. Depending on the current color scheme of your kitchen or dining room, select a vase color that enhances it. For example, if your dining room is decorated with shades of burgundy, a classy choice can be a red, blown-glass vase.
Select a dozen artificial calla lilies. High quality artificial lilies, found in craft consignment stores, can look quite realistic. Lily flowers of 18 to 24 inches are adequate.
Place the lilies into the vase, allowing them to fall naturally into place. This gives the arrangement a Bohemian appearance with a timeless and elegant blossom. The bright white variety of this flower looks amazing when placed with virtually any decor scheme. White goes with anything; however, colored calla lilies beautify a plain, white color scheme.
Place the vase on the center of your dining table to serve as a classy yet minimalist touch.
