Pop the hood of the car and disconnect the battery cables with socket wrenches. Locate a suitable place to mount the 12 volt fan. (Good locations are in front of the radiator on the car's firewall or behind the radiator, mounted to the radiator housing.)
Use the hardware provided in the fan kit to attach the fan mount in the location of your choosing. Slide the fan into the mount and secure the locking tabs.
Use a razor blade to scrape a small section (1 inch or so) of the positive battery cable bare. Wrap the end of the power cable from the 12 Volt fan around this bare section and then cover with electrical tape. Attach the negative cable from the fan to a metal portion of the engine compartment with a sheet metal screw from the fan kit.
Reattach the battery cables to the battery terminals and tighten down with the socket wrenches. Close the hood and start the car. The fan should come on when the car starts now.
