You probably use your ceiling fans extensively during the summer months to move air and cool your home. The same principles that enable a ceiling fan to cool a home in the summer will also help circulate warm air and reduce heating expenses during the winter. If you use your ceiling fans with the fan blades rotating in the opposite direction, the ceiling fans will pull air up to the ceiling where warm air collects. This will push the warmer air back down where you will more readily feel it.
