How to Install a Side Bracket on a Bosch Dishwasher

Bosch dishwashers are permanently installed under the countertops in your home's kitchen. If you have wooden countertops, you must mount the dishwasher directly to them. However, if you have stone countertops made of materials such as marble, granite or silestone, drilling into the underside of the countertop may cause permanent damage. As an alternative, Bosch dishwashers are designed for mounting to either the underside of the countertop or to the cabinets beside the dishwasher. Mounting the dishwasher ensures that it does not move during installation or when the door is opened and closed.

Instructions

    • 1

Pull the dishwasher out from under the cabinet so that the front of the top of the appliance is accessible.

    • 2

Insert the tabs on the bottom of the L-shaped mounting brackets into the notches on the front left and right of the top of the dishwasher. Ensure that the brackets face away from the center of the dishwasher.

    • 3

Bend the perforated ends of the brackets forward to form a 90-degree angle on the bracket.

    • 4

Rotate the brackets down, toward the front of the appliance, ensuring that the tabs remain inserted into the notches on the top of the dishwasher.

    • 5

      Move the dishwasher into position.

    • 6

Drive the included screws through the holes in the brackets and into the cabinet to secure the dishwasher.
