How to Install a Kenmore Oven Ignitor

Modern Kenmore gas ovens are equipped with an ignitor that connects to the gas line assembly inside the unit. The ignitor takes the place of a pilot light by igniting the flame fed by the natural gas supply. If the ignitor is defective or damaged, the oven may not be able to spark the flame to create heat. Install a new ignitor in place of the faulty part to keep your Kenmore gas oven working as it was designed. You can get a replacement ignitor through appliance part websites or at your local appliance or home improvement store.
