How To Replace the Igniter on a Maytag Oven

Maytag automatic gas ovens come in a wide range of models, each with a distinct set of features and options. The igniter in each model allows a flame to form from the gas line to supply heat. The igniter takes the place of the pilot light used in older ovens. If the igniter fails or breaks, the oven will not be able to produce any heat. In that case, you must replace the igniter to keep your Maytag oven working properly.
