How to Remove a Lawn Mower Clutch Brake

Many residential walk behind lawn mowers include a safety feature known as a blade brake clutch system. Blade brake clutch systems allow the mower engine to continue running even when the blade is stationary. This feature comes in handy if you want to move the mower from one point to another without cutting the grass in between or having to restart the engine. If the clutch brake malfunctions or fails, you can remove it from the mower for repair or replacement.
